Welcome back to this week's look at Heritage's Sunday night movie poster auction! Every week Heritage auctions off some truly unique finds across all movie genres, such as movie serials, animation, science fiction, romance, and more. Each week I find a few gems that could be overlooked! Here are my pics for this week's unique finds!

DuckTales The Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp (1990)

Legend has it that life is like a hurricane in Duckberg. From racecars to lasers, to airplanes, it can be a blur. The 1987 hit animated television series focused on Donald Duck's extended family, such as Uncle Scrooge, and Donald's nephews - Huey, Dewey, and Louie. The 100-episode series follows the various adventures the cast goes on and was a staple in the popular Disney Afternoon cartoon block. DuckTales was one of the first cartoons I remember watching as a child and I loved it. When the movie Treasure of the Lost Lamp came out in theaters, my parents were happy to take me. Despite the film receiving praise from critics and audiences, the movie didn't perform financially well, causing any subsequent films to be scrapped. DuckTales would eventually get another animated series decades later, with new adventures (and a new cast) for the family to embark on.

This unrestored poster is noted as being in Very Fine + condition with bright, bold colors. This is a great poster that pulls inspiration from the older adventure movies from decades prior. If you're a Duck collector or were a DuckTales kid with adult money now, this would be a great addition to your collection!

Love 'Em and Leave 'Em Lobby Card (1926)

This nearly 100-year-old lobby card is certainly eye-catching. The silhouette characters against the green background pops and the red building on the right adds depth. I love everything about this lobby card! Love 'Em and Leave 'Em was a silent era dramedy film starring Frank Tuttle and Evelyn Brent. The movie also features Osgood Perkins, father of horror icon Anthony Perkins. Lobby cards can be much easier to collect than posters as they are significantly smaller, and can be stored easier. Usually, we see lobby cards with stills from the movie it's promoting, but in this case, this lobby card is likely a smaller version of a poster.

Heritage notes that this lobby card is unrestored and in Very Fine + condition. While this is a niche collectible, it is still something to behold and to admire. After all, anything merchandise from the silent era of film should be appreciated!

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

Henry Selick's 1993 stop-motion animated movie The Nightmare Before Christmas wasn't an immediate hit when it came out. It did well, but not as well as a typical Disney animated film did at the time - and given the year, Disney was in the midst of the famed Disney Renaissance. This could be in part because the film was released under the Touchstone Pictures imprint, and not under the traditional Disney name. Yet 30 years later and Nightmare is more popular than ever. Merchandise is readily available year-round at several major retailers, and the Disney parks bring out all kinds of Nightmare goodies for both the Halloween and Christmas seasons. While not one of my favorite movies, I can admit that there is a large following for this movie - and for good reason! The stop-motion is flawless, and the music is very catchy (which is no surprise, after all, Danny Elfman wrote it).

Original Nightmare posters and merchandise is highly collectible. It wouldn't surprise me if this unrestored poster, which features the main protagonist Jack, ends up as one of the highest ticket items in this weeks auction. Heritage notes that this poster is in Very Fine + condition, and if I'm being honest, it looks brand new!
