Product Information

The hack-and-slash action of Dynasty Warriors returns with an all-new story mode that follows four rival kingdoms in a battle over China. Play as characters from the Shu, Wu, Wei, and for the first time, Jin kingdoms while following a distinct, faction-specific storyline. While the core gameplay still has you guiding a male or female warrior across a battlefield from a third-person perspective, a new weapon system lets characters choose nearly any weapon for combat, from lances and swords to arm cannons and fans. <br><br>You'll be able to equip and switch between two weapons at any point during the action. This allows for special "switch attack" combos, which unleash new forms of attacks after replacing one weapon for another. As characters defeat enemies, they will gain experience to improve their abilities. Items, skills, weapons, and hidden seals can be powered-up to new levels, granting characters bonuses to defense, health, attacks, and more. Dynasty Warriors 7 also introduces a new Chronicle Mode, which supports both local and online cooperative play with a friend.

    Lu Bu insists you buy this game

    Ok, this is Dynasty Warriors 7. Not 1, 2, 3, etc. Seven. That means you should be well aware of the game's tried and true gameplay of hacking and slashing at anything that moves until the level is over. For those hoping this Dynasty Warriors installment would be anything different in that regard, sorry. However, Dynasty Warriors 7 does offer some interesting new quirks. First off, the story mode now features a new Kingdom -- Jin -- that takes place after the Three Kingdoms storyline. This is actually a good story, not just something tacked on to make the gameplay longer. In story mode, though, each mission has a predetermined character for you to play as, so you will not get to choose your favorite from each kingdom and run through the story mode with that character.     Excellent game that was worth the wait

    Another great hack n' slash game made by Koei. Dynasty Warriors 7 is the 7th installment in the Dynasty Warriors series. It includes a whole new mode named "Conquest Mode" and it introduces many new characters. Players can now use 2 weapons instead of one and also includes a whole name kingdom named Jin. Overall, this game is a huge improvement over Dynasty Warriors 6 and is a must buy if you are a Dynasty Warrior fan.

    Very good game with an awsome replay value to it

    I actually bought this game for a friend. We tested it out and liked the weapons system and the story mode in it and how you could choose from many different weapons and get higher levels of them. I feel that this game is a very good game to have and that it is just as good as the rest of the dynast warrior games if not better and i would recoment buying it if you want something that is fun and up to date in terms of battling solders and bosses, etc.

    A bit disappointed that I couldn't choose a character but loved the new way

    I loved the game. A lot more cutscenes, new looks, some old weapons were brought back, improved graphics. You can't choose your own character, however the game manages to make it fun. A LOT better than six.
