Oni Press and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products are celebrating 10 years of cosmic chaos with RICK AND MORTY: 10th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL #1.

The press release follows:

Media Release -- What better way to celebrate a whole decade of grandparental antics, disorderly schwifty-ing, and never-ending nihilistic cosmic chaos than in the 64-page, ginormous RICK AND MORTY: 10th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL #1 from Oni Press in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products! From Rick and Morty veterans Alex Firer (The Onion News Network) and Fred C. Stresing (Adventure Time), A TRIPLE-SIZED, SQUAREBOUND SPECTACULAR featuring a cast of thousands as they officially commemorate all the best (and worst) parts of everyone's favorite intergalactic duo in comic shops throughout the omniverse on July 10th!

"It's an honor to celebrate the decade of writers and illustrators – TV, comics, the designers of my fine Rick and Morty mug – who made Rick and Morty what it is: inescapable icons of the new century of animation," said writer Alex Firer. "However, this is a comic about Rick cleaning his garage. I know you're all worried it will all go according to plan, but I can't lie to the fans, the most noble people on Earth, you deserve the truth! Things get out of hand!!!"

Rick has decided he's finally ready to hang up his lab coat and move into a retirement home, but first he enlists Morty, Summer, Beth, and Jerry to help him pack and get all his crap out of the garage. But when disturbing the dark recesses of Rick's storage shelves unleashes waves of visitors and consequences from adventures past, the family isn't sure they want Rick to leave the home just yet.

"I'm proud and excited to be a part of this Rick and Morty decennial celebration," says illustrator Fred C. Stresing, "Did you know that a 10-year anniversary is called a decennial? Now you do! Unlike Alex, I can lie to fans. And I will! This issue is the culmination of ten years of Rick and Morty everything– it all ends here! Uh, yeah… just joking!"

The acclaimed creative team behind Rick and Morty: The Space Shake Saga – writer Alex Firer and artist Fred C. Stresing – run an endless gauntlet of enemies, lovers, and completely inconsequential side characters from all 10 years of Rick and Morty—for new and old fans alike! Don't miss the all-out rager in honor of the duo of the decade when the RICK AND MORTY: 10TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL #1 unleashes 64 pages of awesomeness on July 10th – featuring a wraparound standard cover by Marc Ellerby (Rick and Morty, Doctor Who), alongside variant covers from James Lloyd ( Futurama, The Simpsons Comics), Suzi Blake (Batman: Wayne Family Adventures), and Fred C. Stresing (Rick and Morty: The Space Shake Saga)

About the Creators:

Fred C. Stresing is a comic book writer, artist, and colorist who has been working professionally for ten-plus years in the industry. His comics include such titles as Rick and Morty, Adventure Time, Rick and Morty: Meeseeks P.I, Invader ZIM, and many, many more. He loves sci-fi, comedy, old movies, and relaxing at home with his wife and their two cats in upstate New York. He one day hopes to have a home with a library in it, one with a fireplace and those, y'know, those ladders with wheels? One of those. Yeah.

Alex Firer's only skill is watching cartoons so thank goodness he got to do this book celebrating one of them. He's an LA-based writer whose comics credits include a lot of Rick and Morty too much some may say. Not him though. He'll keep working in the Morty mines. Shoveling burps for Rick. Anyway, other credits include McSweeneys and The Onion and uhh I don't know. He used to professionally pretend to be a robot and had to go to the Super Bowl. Is that anything?

About Rick and Morty:

Rick and Morty is the Emmy® award-award-winning half-hour animated hit comedy series on Adult Swim that follows a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe. Rick Sanchez is living with his daughter Beth's family and constantly bringing her, his son-in-law Jerry, granddaughter Summer, and grandson Morty into intergalactic escapades.

Rick and Morty stars Ian Cardoni, Harry Belden, Sarah Chalke, Chris Parnell, and Spencer Grammer.
