Maybe Kang's MCU future is doubtful, but his first appearance was trending on eBay this week.

The Hottest Comics ranks the 100 best-selling, single issues across the most famous auction site on the internet, eBay (less affectionately known as "FeeBay"). Below you will find five issues that stood out from the pack, and that could lead to profits depending on the market's next direction.

54 AVENGER #8 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Kang has resurfaced onto the eBay top 100. When Marvel Studios parted ways with actor Jonathon Majors, it seemed Kang would not be conquering the MCU after all. If Marvel is steering away from the time lord, the second season of Loki gave the character a fitting conclusion. Still, there's a chance we could see Kang return to the big or small screen, and that could be the reason Kang's first appearance made a return to the Hottest Comics.

58 ASTONISHING TALES #25 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Here is a most unexpected find. Astonishing Tales #25 marked the debut of Deathlok, the futuristic Frankenstein-esque cyborg. Over the years, he has been inducted into the standard Earth-616 timeline, and he has ties to the X-Men. Considering the time travelling we saw at the tail end of X-Men '97, it leaves an opening for Deathlok to join the hit series. That would give collectors and investors new incentive to grab up AT #25.

89 RAPHAEL, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Everything TMNT has been heating up since Mutant Mayhem's box office success and The Last Ronin movie announcement. It's had collectors reconsidering those classic Ninja Turtles keys. While the team's first appearance is well out of reach for most buyers, that leads to the sunny shores of the TMNT spin offs. Raphael #1 gets the nod this week due to Casey Jones' debut in that issue. He is a staple of the Turtle-verse, and we are likely to see him in the Mutant Mayhem sequel.

95 GREEN LANTERN #87 (NEW TO THE LIST)

The latest news on the Green Lantern streaming series, Lanterns, is that veteran sci-fi screenwriter Damon Lindelof will be joining the writing team. He has a long list of accolades, but he's best known for Lost and HBO's Watchmen series. Adding him to the upcoming Green Lantern show instantly gives the production credibility. We already knew that John Stewart would be one of the series' protagonists, and with Lindelof on writing duties, that could very well mean John is on his way to mainstream stardom.

98 WONDER WOMAN #5 VILLALOBOS VARIANT (NEW TO THE LIST)

Pablo Villalobos created an impressive cover for Wonder Woman #5, and the beautiful artwork has propelled this issue into the top 100 this week. It doesn't hurt that it's a variant with a relatively small print run, something that is always a boon for collectors. Whether or not its ascension in the sales charts is due to the FOMO effect is a question that will be answered over the next few weeks.
