DC COMICS' JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA AND JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA TOP SALES CHARTS FOR DECEMBER

FABLES VOL. 8: WOLVES TP IS DECEMBER'S TOP-SELLING GRAPHIC NOVEL

DC Comics' new JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA landed the top two slots on Diamond Comic Distributors' Unit Sales chart for December 2006, with JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #4 ranked as the month's top seller, followed by JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #5 in the #2 position.

Six of the top 10 titles on the Units chart were from DC, including JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA #1 and 52 WEEKS 31, 32 and 33.

On the Dollars chart, JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA #1 was the month's top comic, followed by JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #4 in the #2 position.

Vertigo's FABLES VOL. 8: WOLVES TP was the top-selling title on Diamond's Graphic Novels chart. Three other FABLES titles - FABLES VOL. 1: LEGENDS IN EXILE TP, FABLES VOL. 2: ANIMAL FARM TP, and FABLES: 1,001 NIGHTS OF SNOWFALL HC - all appeared on the Graphic Novels chart as well.

V FOR VENDETTA TP NAMED THE TOP-SELLING GRAPHIC NOVEL OF 2006

Vertigo's V FOR VENDETTA TP has been named the Top-Selling Graphic Novel of 2006. Diamond Comic Distributors places the V FOR VENDETTA TP at the top of both its Units and Dollars charts for 2006.

FINAL ISSUES OF 52 AND THE FIRST 52 COLLECTED EDITION SOLICITED IN FEBRUARY PREVIEWS

It's been a year without Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman - and that year comes to its stunning conclusion this spring as the final issues of the groundbreaking weekly series 52 reach stores! These issues will be solicited in the February Previews (Volume XVII #2), along with the first collected edition of 52.

The superstar writing team of Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, Mark Waid wrap up 52 in style with WEEKS 48-51, all arriving in stores in April, and WEEK 52, advance-solicited to arrive in stores on May 2. As always, the writers are joined by breakdown artist Keith Giffen and cover artist J.G. Jones, as well as illustrators Darick Robertson, Eddy Barrows, Joe Bennett, Justiniano and others.

In addition, Mark Waid continues to provide backup stories in these issues spotlighting the origins of The Justice League of America, Batman, and Superman. (WEEKS 50 and 52 will have no backup stories.)

Also advance-solicited in the February Previews is the 52 VOL. 1 TP, the first of four collected editions from the bestselling comic. 52 VOL. 1 will collect the lead stories from 52 WEEKS 1-13, and will also feature commentary from the writers and others, a cover gallery, a new cover by J.G. Jones and more! The 52 VOL. 1 TP is a 304-page title scheduled to arrive in stores on May 30 with a cover price of $19.99 U.S.
