Welcome back to this week's look at Heritage's Sunday night movie poster auction! Every week Heritage auctions off some truly unique finds across all movie genres, such as movie serials, animation, science fiction, romance, and more. Each week I find a few gems that could be overlooked! Here are my pics for this week's unique finds!

Fantastic Four Japanese Flyer

2005's Fantastic Four was certainly a take on the popular Marvel hero team. Director Tim Story did a good job at building the characters, but ultimately the movie felt cheesy and over the top. Yet despite its flaws, it's still a fun movie to watch. The sequel didn't fare much better, and the movie was inevitably rebooted in 2015, flopped again, and now fans will be getting another reboot in 2025 with Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic. Hopefully, this upcoming movie will finally get it right.

This Japanese flyer features a dynamic image of the Fantastic Four on the front, and introduces the main characters, and who plays them, on the back. Heritage notes that this item is unrestored and in Very Fine/Near Mint condition.

Forbidden Planet 1955

This is without a doubt one of my favorite science fiction posters. The image of the robot holding a damsel in distress had been used for years in comics, yet this poster is an iconic piece of pop culture media. The movie, starring Leslie Nielsen, has been celebrated as being one of the best science fiction movies of its period, with the American Film Institute including it in their top 10 best science fiction movies list. Forbidden Planet would go on to influence Gene Roddenberry to create Star Trek, and Robby the Robot would even make cameo appearances in several TV shows.

Forbidden Planet still holds up to this day, and if you haven't seen it yet, stop reading this and watch it! This unrestored poster is noted as being in Very Fine- condition, with bright colors and beautiful edges. This is a great poster, and anyone who wins this is truly lucky.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space 1988

Killer Klowns from Outer Space is an absolute joyride of a film. This cult-turned-mainstream classic has seen a resurgence in popularity in recent years, with places such as Spirit Halloween selling larger than life animatronics, home goods, and of course costumes. Certain VHS copies have become hot collector's items, and the cast and crew regularly make appearances at horror conventions. The movie is a ton of fun to watch and truly captures how fun horror movies can be. This is a personal favorite movie in my household, and I only wish I had the money to bid on this poster!

This one sheet from 1988 features a Klown spinning the earth on its finger. This image would be used for the VHS release - but this specific VHS has become harder to come by, and thus, is a grail item for Killer Klown fans. This unrestored poster is noted as being in Very Fine condition but has been folded. The colors still pop on this poster, and it would make for an excellent display piece!
