It's the 15th Featured Auction at one of our favorite collectibles destinations - Collector Comics - and this one delivers an impressive lineup of comics spanning the Golden Age all the way to the Modern Era. Bidding opened August 1st and closes over the next three days, August 15th–17th, with a particularly strong showing of Silver and Bronze Age Marvel keys.
This auction offers a deep selection for serious collectors: over 175 issues of Amazing Spider-Man from the Silver Age to today, more than 200 X-Men issues, and significant runs of Batman and Fantastic Four. Nearly 50 Signature Series comics are included, alongside over 80 Golden Age books — among them some notable war comics and a number of first issues. High-grade seekers will also find plenty to target, with more than 150 comics graded at CGC 9.8.
Standout lots include All Star Comics #1 CGC 7.0 (some of these close soon!)

Incredible Hulk #1 CGC 1.0,

Fantastic Four #52 CGC 9.6 (Qualified)

Detective Comics #73 CGC 2.5, and many others.

Everything in this auction must sell. There are still quite a few items starting at $1 bids, and this wouldn't be the first time we see an auction finish up here with some great deals had on non-key items.
It is also worth mentioning that this auction boasts the first major event to host PSA graded comics! I counted 12 PSA slabs up for grabs, in a wide variety of genre and grades. It will continue to be an interesting ride as we watch these specific items finish up, adding a great source of data to the story of PSA entering the comic book hobby.
I recently had the opportunity to meet the team at Collectors Comics during an event connected to San Diego Comic-Con. It was a chance to speak with them directly about their process, their market experience, and their approach to handling the evolving desires of all collectors. I came away impressed and excited for what this team is cooking up for the future — these are credible, well-connected professionals who know how to curate and present meaningful experiences for the collecting community. Our working relationship is now closer than ever, and I can confidently recommend their auctions as a place to find both investment-grade material and exceptional collecting opportunities.
Once the final bids are in, all realized prices from this auction will be added to the GoCollect database.
