1993 Super Mario Bros Demo Tape Sealed CGC Universal 9.4

1993's Super Mario Bros was a lesson on what not to do with video game properties. While a personal favorite, the movie took extreme liberties with Nintendo's flagship franchise. Many fans and critics at the time tore the movie apart thanks to how insane the movie truly is. As I said, I love this movie. I was seven when the movie came out, and I found Super Mario Bros to be absolutely fun. I still do. The movie has become a cult classic with many fans rediscovering the movie again.

This demo tape was a screener for video stores -- or rental places such as Blockbuster -- and contained the full movie on VHS. The box contains different graphics than the official release, making this is a unique collectible. Interest in the 1993 Mario Movie has started to rise again, so now may be the right time to snatch this video up. This example is a CGC blue label 9.4 with a seal grade of A+.

Akira (Subbed) Sealed CGC Universal 9.4

Imagine, if you will, walking into a Suncoast Video in your local mall on a Friday afternoon with your friends. Your parents likely gave you $20 to spend, so why not buy a video? The anime selection at Suncoast in the early 1990s was small but offered a good variety of titles. One VHS, Akira, immediately catches your eye. Akira, originally released in 1988, made waves in North America.

The movie could be found on various movie networks of science fiction stations late at night (or early Saturday mornings), and had already built a solid legacy of its own. However, as the sticker notes, Akira is not for kids! This is also a subbed version of the movie, and subbed VHSs typically sold for around $30 in the early 1990s.

This CGC blue label 9.4 has a Seal grade of A++ and presents extremely well. This is one of the earlier North American releases of the classic, and deserves a spot on your shelf. Akira will be 40 in 2028, and the movie has proved it can and will continue to stand the test of time.

Beverly Hills Cop Sealed VGA 80 NM

Eddie Murphy in the 1980s was on fire. Almost everything he touched turned to gold, and many of his movies from this decade are still enjoyed today. Coming To America, Trading Places, and of course, the Beverly Hills Cop trilogy, are just a few films that highlight his natural comedic talent.

Beverly Hills Cop is considered by many to be a defining movie of the 1980s. The theme song is catchy, the movie is still funny, and it's just fun to watch.

This sealed VGA 80 Near Mint example is one of the first releases of the film on VHS. The box presents extremely well with no signs of fading. If you're an Eddie Murphy collector, a 1980s fan, or are starting a VHS collection, this is a great find.
