When I was ten, a friend taught me how to make stop-motion animations. We used tracing paper and a light box to create short films. Collecting comic books inspired me to become a comic artist, but by twelve, I realized I lacked my friends’ natural drawing talent. That’s when I discovered computer painting, which let me erase and redraw without limit. In the mid-1970s, no digital paint software existed, so that led me toward software development. Still, my passion for comics never faded, and I eventually amassed more than 30,000 of them. I’m now reducing my collection, selling many graded comics on eBay (see link above), Shortboxed, and Heritage, while also focusing on specific runs and special sets—like every Marvel and DC Bronze Age #1 issue (see my 1st Issue Special list).
