On Saturday, May 5th, the comic industry comes together to celebrate the medium that continues to entertain, influence and impact us with Free Comic Book Day, an event that sees all the great industry publishers offer free comics to readers new and old. While quantities and selection will vary by each store, Marvel encourages you to swing by your friendly neighborhood comic store and sample the very best of our industry. Marvel would also like to wish each and every retailer good luck on this day—their efforts in spreading the love of comics and bringing joy to fans should be celebrated by all, and we hope they enjoy this special event. However, there’s two comics you have to get: Amazing Spider-Man: Swing Shift, featuring all new story by Dan Slott and Phil Jimenez, and Marvel Adventures Three In One, in which a number of creators come together to provide new all ages Hulk and Iron Man stories, along with an instant classic Franklin Richards story from the Eisner-nominated one-shots.
