Collectorz.com announces collaboration with ComicList
March 5th, 2008: We are happy to announce that Collectorz.com and ComicList.com are now collaborating to add each week's new comic releases to the Collectorz.com online comic database. Charles LePage has agreed to create a special version of his weekly release list for us. We have created a semi-automatic import tool to import this list and create the entries in our online database.
So what does this collaboration mean for you?
New releases will be present in our database even before they are available in the shops. You can add the new issue to your Comic Collector database straight from the program’s Add Automatically screen.
As soon as we receive full issue data and cover images from our loyal submitters, you can download this data directly using Comic Collector’s Update Automatically feature.
What’s next?
This is just the first step. We will soon start the development of Comic Collector 4.1 and a new “Daily Updates” tab page in the Add Automatically screen. This new tab page (or maybe even an extra “New Releases” tab page) will make it even easier to find and add the new comic releases to your database.
