Issue #22 Continues from Oeming and Homs!
February 5, 2007, Runnemede, NJ - DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT released images and information today concerning RED SONJA #22 as part of their continued commemoration of the 35th Anniversary of Red Sonja's first appearance in comics! Red Sonja #22 begins "The Long Way Back Home", the next exciting storyline from series writer Michael Avon Oeming with art by the sensational Homs. Scheduled for an April release, Red Sonja #22 will be available with covers by Joe Prado, Steven Segovia, the Red Sonja debut of painter David Michael Beck and interior artist Homs.
"The Return of Kulan Gath" (Red Sonja #'s 11-18) concluded with Kulan Gath in control of the land and Red Sonja and her companions battling to survive on the other side of the globe in a land full of strange and dangerous creatures. Now, Red Sonja #22 begins "The Long Way Back Home"!
Fans surmised that "The Return of Kulan Gath" would be Red Sonja's ultimate showdown, but little did they know that the She-Devil's most brutal challenges were yet to come. Now, the Age of Kulan Gath has begun, and Sonja, along with her surviving companions and some strange new allies, begin the dangerous journey home where they are destined to face a land ravaged and ruled by Kulan Gath! Red Sonja #22 also continues the team up of Oeming and Dynamite's artistic sensation Homs, whose first Dynamite work as interior artist on the Frank Cho/Doug Murray Savage Red Sonja: Queen of the Frozen Wastes left fans desperately wanting more. Homs also provided the interiors for the "Animals" storyline that ran from issues # 19 through #21 of the regular Red Sonja series! Additionally, Homs will be joined for cover for Red Sonja #22 by Joe Prado. Steven Segovia and David Michael Beck.
