Welcome back to this week's top pics from Heritage's weekly Sunday and Monday comic book auctions! Heritage holds weekly funny book auctions which feature key issues, overlooked comics, oddball memorabilia items, and more. If you're looking to beef up your collection, these auctions are a must! Here are my top picks for you to watch.

All Winners Comics #19

Timey' Golde Age comics are by far some of the best superhero comics from the era. The company would eventually rename itself as Marvel Comics, but either way, the company helped shape what would become the modern superhero and comic book. Golden Age heroes such as Captain America, Bucky, and the Sub-Mariner are still wildly popular today thanks to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In this issue of All Winners Comics #19,  we see the formation of the first Marvel superhero team -- The All Winners Squad --  which included Captain America, The Sub Mariner, The Human Torch, Miss America, Toro, and The Whizzer. This book is harder to find, so if you've been eyeing this key, here's your chance.

This blue label 1.8 CGC graded copy has cream to off-white pages, and despite being a low grade, only 68 of these are on the census with a blue label. The last time a 1.8 sold was in March of 2015 for $613, making this a uniquely affordable minor Golden Age key.

Green Lantern Group of 3

If you're buying books based on the current hype for James Gunn's upcoming DC Universe, here's a lot that may be a worthwhile gamble. This Silver Age lot features raw copies of Green Lantern #5, #6, and #10. Number 6 is especially important as it is the first appearance of Tomar-Re, a Xudrian Green Lantern from the planet Xudar. Tomar-Re is still featured in the Green Lantern universe. Interest in this issue has gone up over the past month, so this could be a great opportunity to get a Green Lantern key at an exceptional price.

Heritage notes the overall grades of the lot as being in VG/FN condition, though issue 10 does have soiling on the cover.

House of Secrets #92

Speaking of the James Gunn DCU, there will be a focus on DC Monsters -- including Swamp Thing. His first appearance in Houe of Secrets #92 is a popular early Bronze key that's maintained its value over the years. This raw copy is perfect for those willing to take a grade gamble -- or for those of you who truly appreciate a comic for what it is. Bernie Wrightson's curiously creepy cover is still as breathtaking as ever, despite the noticeable flaws on the cover.

Heritage notes this copy as being in VG condition, and since it was not graded, a lucky buyer could pick this up at a great price. By comparison, a blue label 9.8 CGC graded copy has a fair market value of $94,000.  Blue label 1.0 CGC graded books have a one-year average of $499. This book will most likely keep climbing in value, and will likely skyrocket once a Swamp Thing project is confirmed.
