Media Release -- The Cartoon Art Museum and SF Zinefest are proud to present Thinking Captions : Cartoonists Reading Their Cartoons, at the Cartoon Art Museum Thursday, September 1st from 7pm to 9pm. A diverse lineup of small-press cartoonists will read from their respective works, accompanied by a special PowerPoint presentation. The lineup, consisting of artists exhibiting at this years’s SF Zinefest, consists of Tessa Brunton, Francois Vigneault, Susie Cagle, Jonas Madden-Conner, Ric Carrasquillo and Lark Pien. The suggested donation for this event is $5, although no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
About SF Zine Fest: SF Zine Fest, taking place September 3-4, 2011, at the SF County Fair Building, serves as a vital annual showcase of the diversity, vitality and ongoing exuberance of the small-press movement. Writers, cartoonists, crafters, illustrators, printmakers and all manner of artists will be in attendance. While the majority of the exhibitors hail from the Bay Area, creators from across the West Coast and beyond will be represented.
