Welcome back to this week's look at Heritage's Sunday night movie poster auction! Every week Heritage auctions off some truly unique finds across all movie genres, such as movie serials, animation, science fiction, romance, and more. Each week I find a few gems that could be overlooked! Here are my pics for this week's unique finds!

Beach Party Belgium Poster

In 1963 director William Asher's Beach Party was released in theaters. This teen comedy helped bring the Beach Party film series to life and gave former Mouseketeer Annette Funicello a new film life outside of the Mickey Mouse Club. The movies are fun and lighthearted, but after the first three, they become monotonous and less enthralling. Beach Party was a financial success for distributor American International Pictures, which rushed the following two sequels out within months of Beach Party's release. They still remain a fun and easy watch, even if some of the references and humor is dated.

This Belgian release poster featured Funicello front and center, with co-star Frankie Avalon right behind. This is a beautiful poster that captures the fun and theme of the movie. This unrestored poster is noted as being in Very Fine+ condition with minor edge wear. This is still a vibrant poster, and would go well with any poster collection!

Deadpool & Wolverine Poster

Despite this being a brand new movie and brand new poster, Deadpool & Wolverine specific merchandise has - to no one's surprise - become a hit with collectors and new fans alike. If you have not seen the film, I urge you to do so as soon as possible. The movie is fun and uses cameos well, making this movie a nice salute to the old Fox Marvel films. After all, they did lay the groundwork for what would become the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hugh Jackman truly stole the show, and seeing him in the classic yellow and blue costume was a delight. If this series of movies ended here, I would be satisfied with what was put out. However, we all know this likely isn't the end of either character in any MCU movie.

This poster is noted as being unrestored and in Near Mint - condition, which shouldn't surprise anyone. This would be a great poster for a number of collectors.

Dumbo Japanese Poster

Disney's Dumbo came out during a rather particularly difficult time for both Disney and the world at large. Released in October 1941 during the height of World War II, this is one of the shortest Disney animated films clocking in at only 64 minutes. The movie was a financial success for the studio, and only cost half of what it took to create Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Dumbo also won an Academy Award for Best Scoring of a Musical Picture in 1942. Dumber was re-released several times over the years and saw its first home movie release in June of 1981. This Japanese poster from 1982/1983 was likely released to advertise the home release as there are no theatrical dates listed.

This unrestored poster is in Very Fine+ condition. I love the colors on this poster. They're still bright and vibrant, which helps invoke a feeling of nostalgia. While Dumbo may have been the studio's shortest film, it has certainly had a large impact!
