The artist Todd Slater has this to say this about the piece, "My vision for this print was to blend the 'Star Gate' sequence from 2001 with those awesome giant insect Sci-Fi posters from the 50s. The movies I had in mind that I thought were a good match to the Foo's aesthetic were, The Deadly Mantis, Them and The Wasp Woman. The image is a wormhole looking through space infested with psychedelic beetles. The scarab serves as a metaphor of the Foo's immortality in Rock history."
