Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley each created posters for individually, but their partnership for the posters they designed for The Family Dog series was very important. They created some of the most iconic posters of all time for the Family Dog. Kelley would often come up with a concept that Mouse would design artwork from, but they would also work on posters at the same time, with one sitting on the left side of the easel and one on the right.
Alton Kelley was one of the original members of the Family Dog collective. Though he is best known for the work he did alongside Stanley Mouse, he created several pieces on his own as well, including the handbill for the first ever dance presented by the Family Dog, "A Tribute to Dr. Strange".
