Media Release -- At this year's Baltimore Comic-Con, the 2009 Harvey Awards were announced on Saturday night, August 28.
From the many nominees, Grant Morrison was tapped for his work on DC's All-Star Superman ("Best Continuing or Limited Series," and "Best Writer"), Dark Horse was given a tip of the hat for Umbrella Academy ("Best Artist," Gabriel Ba and "Best Colorist" Dave Stewart), and Abrams Comic Arts was given a round of applause for multiple wins that included Al Jaffee, Tall Tales ("Best Cartoonist," Al Jaffee, and "Special Award for Humor) and Mark Evanier's Kirby, King of Comics ("Best Biographical Presentation" and "Special Award for Excellence in Presentation").
