Dabel Brothers Publishing announced today their plans and activities for the 2008 New York Comic Con, which takes place April 18-20th at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.

The company will be holding a panel from 2-3PM on Saturday, April 19th in Room 1E07. The panel will include an overview of what they have been working on the last several months, previews and information on Dabel Brothers books currently in production, as well as a very important, top-secret announcement!

Jim Butcher, author of The Dresden Files, will make a special appearance at the Dabel Brothers panel for a Questions & Answers session, and to talk about his experience in writing the original Dabel Brothers comic book series The Dresden Files: Welcome to the Jungle, the first issue of which hits stores April 16, 2008 (40 pages, $3.99).

As a special bonus to panel attendees, the first 100 people will receive a free copy of The Dresden Files: Welcome to the Jungle New York Comic Con Special Edition #1. The Dabel Brothers are printing only 2,000 copies of this exclusive cover, with art by fan favorite Marat Mychaels, and are selling the rest of the copies at the show for $10 each.

Butcher will also be signing at the Midtown Comics Booth #1541 from 10:30AM-11:30AM on Saturday, April 19th as well as the Dabel Brothers booth from 5-6PM on Friday and Saturday, April 18th -19th .

Additionally, the Dabel Brothers have printed up a very limited amount of bookmarks specifically for the New York Comic Con. There are 3 bookmarks, one for Dean Koontz’ Frankenstein: Prodigal Son, one for George RR Martin’s Wild Cards: The Hard Call and one for Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files: Welcome to the Jungle. The bookmarks will be handed out on a limited basis each day.
