Here we go again, people! It’s the latest Dark Reign update from your friends at TFAW.com. Not too much going on in the Marvel U by way of Dark Reign this week, so let’s get into it! Reader beware: SPOILERS AHEAD!
Last we saw Frank Castle, he was in a sewer with a bunch of dudes in SWAT gear pointing guns at him. Luckily, those guys weren’t really SWAT members, and Punisher #4 sees Frank in his element. After the sewer massacre, Frank heads upworld to take care of Charlie’s team and regroup with his hacker pal.
I’m digging this series a lot. The art is friggin’ amazing (Jerome Opena and Dan Brown continue to hit it out of the park each week) and the pacing is perfect. There are a few things that bugged me about this issue and the story as a whole, such as the furry villain Hood sends to take out Henry (pretty funny, but really?). Secondly, the Hood. I don’t buy him as a crime kingpin, and he’s not really a big enough BA to be a Punisher villain. Then again, I’m sure I’ll be eating my words when Remender and crew bring us Punisher #5 next month.
