Heath Ledger, who is playing the Joker in this summer's Batman movie, was found dead today in his New York City apartment. I've not heard any word on the exact cause.
Other than the tragedy of his death, especially given he was only 28 years old, it remains to be seen what affect this will have on the upcoming Dark Knight film. Filming is complete, but there is always post release marketing, which will definitely be altered. Also, this will certainly bring some unexpected publicity for the movie.
