Media Release -- Following last week's allocation on the WHITE LANTERN PROMOTIONAL RINGS, DC Comics announces a new production run of these rings.
DC Comics will provide FREE replacement WHITE LANTERN PROMOTIONAL RINGS to retailers whose orders were allocated, as well as retailers who voluntarily returned the rings.
Any retailers whose orders were allocated will receive the free rings in the quantity that they were shorted. This includes retailers serviced by Diamond's Memphis warehouse and those who were allocated because their orders were received after the original Final Order Cutoff date.
Allocated retailers may receive a partial quantity of their missing rings on May 12, thanks to the retailers who voluntarily returned some of their rings.
Retailers who voluntarily returned rings will receive the free rings in the quantity that they returned. DC Comics will issue freight credits for retailers who returned rings.
All free rings from the new production run will appear on invoices as a no cost item, and are scheduled to arrive in stores on June 23.
Retailers serviced by the Plattsburgh warehouse who did not receive rings due a processing error will receive their missing rings on May 12.
In addition, qualifying retailers who did not place orders by the original Final Order Cutoff date of April 15 now may place new orders for these rings under item code MAR108127. The Final Order Cutoff for the new production run is May 27; the rings are scheduled to arrive in stores on June 23.
"Our goal is to make sure that every retailer who ordered these promotional rings has at least as many rings as they have copies of BRIGHTEST DAY #1 as of the issue's Final Order Cutoff date," says Bob Wayne, DC's VP - Sales. "We are grateful to those retailers who were generous enough to return some of their rings to help with the shortage out of the Memphis warehouse."
Please note: Shipments may be allocated if orders exceed the production run.
