For years, Hake’s has been a leader in collectibles outside of comics and has seen realized prices on vintage and antique trading cards, toys, and antique political items. This month, Hake’s has several unique and interesting finds in their November auction, with sessions ending November 19th and 20th

Supergirl Super Queens Poseable Doll

Rare toys are a delight to find in the wild, and this Super Queens Supergirl is a gem! Created by Ideal Toys in 1967, the Comic Heroine's line (commonly known as Super Queens) was the first time Batgirl, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, and Mera had been released in doll format. This line did not perform well and was subsequently pulled from shelves after a year. As a result, Super Queen dolls can fetch a lot of money and are very collectible.

Aside from Supergirl, Hakes also has Batgirl in this auction as well. Both dolls are in exceptional condition, and both will likely sell for over $1K a piece. These are truly rare finds - if you are able to afford them, I would not pass these up!

Cheerios Premiums #Y1

Cheerios Premiums #Y1, or what many of us prefer to call it, Donald Duck's Atom Bomb, was a mini promotional comic. Released in 1947, this promotional comic that could be (surprisingly) found in boxes of Cheerios! This is a very rare comic and has been censored since its original release. Due to the nature of the comic and its proximity to the actual Atomic Bomb in WWII, this comic will most likely never be reprinted in its original version again.

This CGC blue label 8.0 has off white to white pages, and presents extremely well. This is a great comic to own, and one that will continue to be a desired piece among a myriad of collectors!

Captain America Sentinels of Liberty Pin

Shortly after Captain America's debut, Timely got to work making sure Captain America was a popular character. They quickly created a fanclub, the Sentinels of Liberty. The membership kit was 10 cents (under $2.50 today) and came with a badge and a membership card. These badges came in brass or copper, with this example being the copper version. The club kit was discontinued by 1943 as materials were needed for the war effort.

Buck Rogers Wilma Deering School Bag

Let me start by saying, that if anyone out there was thinking of getting me a gift this holiday season, I want this. This rare piece of Buck Rogers memorabilia is a delight to see in auction. This bag was released in 1935 (and again in 1936 with more color) by John Dillie Co., and was available to purchase through the Cream of Wheat company at only 70 cents - or around $16 today. These canvas bags had leather trim, and measured in at 9.5" tall and 12.5" wide. These are some of the harder Buck Rogers items to find, and typically command a lot of money. Yet still they are amazing, and would be a great grail piece for a Buck Rogers collection!
