For decades, fans of all ages have been playing video games. From Atari to PlayStation, there’s certainly a video game for every collector! With graded games, collectors can take their collections to the next level. Heritage holds a Mini-Boss Select auction weekly, featuring some fine examples of collectible video games.

Spot: The Video Game WATA 9.6 A+ Sealed

In 1987, 7 Up introduced the appropriately named Spot in their media campaigns. The orange-red Spot was an anthropomorphic dot (the dot that is seen in the 7 Up logo) that wore sunglasses and did not speak. He would be used for ten years and became one of the more memorable food mascots of the 1990s. Spot was even popular enough to be the star of his own video game series, starting with Spot: The Video Game. Spot: The Video Game is just a 7 Up branded version of Othello. Despite that, the game was fun and at times challenging, and was well-received enough to warrant two more games after its release.

This WATA 9.6 A+ sealed copy is a true nostalgia bomb. I'm a sucker for monochrome boxes, and this green box absolutely sings. The last 9.6 example sold in February 2024 for $260, a cool price for a cool game. This game is somewhat popular with collectors, so if you've been looking for a copy to add to your collection, look no further.

Night Trap CGC Universal 9.6

In the 1990s, full-motion video games attempted to pick up steam after failing in the 1980s. Many games were released using full-motion graphics, such as 1997's Judge Dredd, and some games would advertise the use of the technology, such as Plumbers Don't Wear Ties. While the trend may have "died" in the 1990s, a version of full-motion still exists today and is used in video games. Night Trap used the technology well. The B-Movie video game would even see a re-release for the Nintendo Switch. In 2024, Limited Run Games released a port for the Nintendo Game Boy, but the port only played the cut scenes.

This CGC Universal 9.6 A++ sealed copy is great. There is not a lot of sales data for CGC 9.6 copies -- in fact we don't have any sales records for any CGC copy. I have a feeling this will be the game to watch in this auction!

Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee WATA 9.8 A+ Sealed

Godzilla is great. Godzilla in all forms is great. Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee is great! Honestly, what more could you want from a Godzilla game? This fighting game allows you to play as a number of different kaiju, including a few versions of the monster himself. Some critics say this game didn't have enough camp. Others loved it. If you like Godzilla, if you like a solid fighting game with great graphics and an easy-to-follow plot, Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee is perfect.

This WATA 9.8 A+ sealed copy has a terrific cover. This game gets to the point immediately as soon as you look at it. If you collect Godzilla, kaiju, or fighting games, this is a worthwhile game to pick up.
