Welcome back to this week's Weekly Auction Gem rundown! Each week, we'll look at Heritage's weekly Sunday - Tuesday comic auction, their weekly video game auction, and their weekly poster auction to see which items should be on your radar!

Baffling Mysteries #7 Ungraded

Before The Creature from the Black Lagoon terrorized people in 1954, Baffling Mysteries #7 introduced a sea-dwelling creature who also terrorized any human who came near! In the seven-page story, Terror Beneath the Tides, a newspaper reporter weaves a story about a murderous monster who lives in the sea. Frank Giusto penciled and inked this beautiful cover, while the seven stories inside were done by various creators. Baffling Mysteries would only last for 22 issues, and were published by Ace between 1951 to 1955.

This ungraded book presents extremely well. Heritage notes this book as being in overall Good condition with wear, including a 1" tear in the front cover and a .25" spine split. A CGC blue label 2.0 last sold for $372 in August 2019, so this book could potentially end around that price.

Back to the Future Sealed WATA 9.0

The Back to the Future movie series is regarded as one of the best ever made. What can really be said about these movies? The first one is absolutely iconic, and can be enjoyed over and over again. The first installment would go on to create a media franchise, which included a video game.

The Back to the Future game was produced by LJN, and if you know anything about video games, LJN is usually the kiss of death. LJN's take on the game was fine, but it ultimately failed at capturing the spirit and fun of the movie. In fact, it had very little to do with the movie outside of a handful of references.

This sealed WATA-graded 9.0 is still a cool find. Currently, there is no sales data on other 9.0 copies, so this sale would be the first for the grade. By comparison, a WATA-graded 9.2 has a one-year average of $528, so this could potentially go for over $350. Despite the lackluster gameplay, BTTF is still a highly collectible series. If you're a fan of the series this could be a good opportunity to buy a high-grade game without spending big bucks.

Star Wars Italian 1977 Poster Restored

I've seen a lot of Star Wars posters in my day, but I'll never get tired of this 1977 Italian poster! Guerre Stellari, as it was called in Italy, is one of the best international posters for the game-changing space opera. Featuring Luke and Leia as you'll never see them in the films, the poster also includes R2-D2, C-3PO, Vader, and Chewbacca in beautiful bright colors. This poster is epic, and makes the movie seem larger than life -- something that is hard to accomplish!

Heritage notes that this poster is restored yet still has signs of use. Restoration includes tape on the lower left corner, and wear includes fold wear and slight creases. Still, this poster presents itself extremely well. If you're a Star Wars fan looking for that one unique item for your collection, do not overlook this!
