Crime SuspenStories #20 CGC Universal 4.0

When it comes to pre-code horror, there are a handful of books that truly stand out.  Johnny Craig's iconic hanging cover is referenced frequently when talking about pre-code horror. The series only lasted 27 issues, with Craig illustrating a number of the covers. This issue featured 5 thrilling stories by various contributors. The series has been reprinted a number of times, but owning an original copy is a must for pre-code horror collectors and fans.

In total CGC has graded 272 copies of this book, with 258 receiving a Universal grade. This example is a CGC blue label 4.0 with off-white to white pages. The current fair market value for examples in this grade is $1,550, with prices climbing across all grades. By comparison, a CGC blue label 9.6 has a fair market value of $44,000. This is both a great collector and investor piece.

Questprobe Featuring The Hulk Sealed VGA 85 NM+

Comic book video games have an illustrious history, with many early games laying the groundwork for the games we play today. Questprobe's The Hulk is a graphic novel adventure game that is exactly as it sounds. It's a graphic novel, but for your home console. T

his game was released on several platforms, including the Apple II, the Commodore 64, and the Atari 8-bit. The graphics in this are not bad given the time period, though they are a bit bulky at times. Both John Romita Jr. and Joh Byrne worked on this game, giving it more of that Marvel touch. This was the first in the series, with two other games released shortly after: Spider-Man, and The Human Torch and Thing. An X-Men game was planned but was ultimately canceled.

This sealed VGA 85 NM+ copy looks almost brand new. I absolutely love the box art for this game. The black background works extremely well with the Hulk's color palette. Prices on this game fluctuate, with some copies going for over $200, while others remain under $100.

Batman 1989 on Linen One Sheet

Whenever I see this poster, Danny Elfman's definitive Batman theme plays in my head. This movie has a chokehold on pop culture in 1989, and for me personally would become the cornerstone to why I'm such a big Batman fan. While posters these days seem to be heavy handed with imagery, this simple shot of the Batsymbol tells you everything you need to know about this movie. I prefer this poster to the one that has the cast and movie name on it, as it's so clean and precise. Having only the movie's release date at the bottom is all you needed.

Per Heritage this poster is in Very Fine- condition, and it is a linen one sheet. This poster has been restored. Prices on similar examples are soft, with most selling for under $150. If you're a Batman fan, or are looking for a iconic and clean poster, don't sleep on this one!
