Stars from the worlds of sports, movies, politics, and comics moved up the charts for the top selling magazines! The Hottest Magazines is a curated list of the magazines moving up the eBay sales lists. GoCollect pulls the stats straight from eBay and sorts them by volume moving in the marketplace over the past 30 days.

1. Time #v204 #3 (+4)

This issue, released right after the assassination attempt on then Presidential candidate Donald Trump, has been one of the hottest selling magazines over the course of the past six months. We’ve seen seven sales of graded copies already in February. The 30-day average price for a 9.8 graded copy has climbed into four figures once more and now stands at $1,075. No doubt buoyed by the recent inauguration, it marks an upswing for a magazine that had lost more than half its value since reaching a peak of $2,054 in October. Love him or hate him, Trump continues to be a top target for magazine collectors.

5. Sports Illustrated #v59 #23 (Subscription Edition) (New to the list!)

Michael Jordan's first Sports Illustrated cover is our biggest mover of the month, rocketing up to number 5 after not making the list previously. As March Madness nears, Jordan’s premiere cover harkens back to his high-flying days at North Carolina. The ranking is due to recent sales in the 8.5 grade (the highest grade to ever sell) and include a $1,500 sale on December 15 and a $1,200 sale on February 12. Copies graded 9.2 and 9.0 have never sold.

7. Playboy #v40 #8 (+30)

The August 1993 issue of the perennial favorite men’s mag sports a cover featuring Dan Aykroyd in his famous conehead guise with top draw Pamela Anderson seated on his lap. A favorite of collectors, it moved up thirty points based on a jump in sales volume in February that has seen five copies sold so far. Topping those sales was an 8.5 going for $179 on February 6. The top price paid was $500 for a 9.4 in 2023. It has to be the conehead, right?

11. Athlon Sports: Caitlin Clark #nn (New to the list!)

Basketball phenom Caitlin Clark continues to prove that she’s one of the biggest stars in the sports world. This special oversized issue focusing on the WNBA superstar was just released in November 2024 and has been selling at a decent clip with 9.8 graded copies reaching as high as $200. It’s just one of a number of magazines with Caitlin Clark covers making our Hottest Magazines list. Expect sports magazines featuring Clark to continue to make appearances on the list for the foreseeable future.

49. Vampirella #1 (New to the list!)

A long-time favorite of horror comic collectors, Vampirella’s debut issue makes its first appearance on our Hottest Magazines list. Sporting a cover illustration by the great Frank Frazetta, recent sales include a 6.5 graded copy going for $1,299. Sales volume has been robust in 2025 with twelve copies already changing hands.
