Wolalina1_cover.jpgMedia Release -- Orang Utan Comics is pleased to announce the release of a thrilling new series from Swedish writer Daniel Karhunen. Wolalina tells the story of Wolalina DiTillio, a former secret agent for the M.Y.T.H. (Mythological & Young Terran Heroes) agency, where people from ancient mythologies actually exist and they work together with humans to stop evil organizations from across the universe. Now she works as a time-traveling private detective to find people who have mysteriously disappeared in the past.

"I wanted a female character who had grown up with the same interests I had when I was growing up," said series writer Karhunen. As such, Wolalina is very much a tribute to the cartoons and comic books of the nineteen eighties, influenced by everything from the Transformers to the Mysterious Cities of Gold. Illustrated beautifully by Ronilson Friere, each issue of Wolalina features 40 pages of stunning, full colour art, wrapped in a card stock cover. Cover art for #1 is by Adriana Melo, best known for his work on Dark Horse's Star Wars comics, as well as Birds of Prey from DC and Ms Marvel from Marvel Comics.
