Interested in comics, U.S. history, Star Wars or trading cards? If so, check out some interesting picks in Goldin's November Pop Culture Auction. Goldin has something for everyone in this auction.
And want to learn more about Ken Goldin, the King of Collectibles? Check out our interview with him.
Goldin is auctioning movie posters from the original Star Wars trilogy signed by cast members.
This signed 27-by-41 inch Empire Strikes Back movie poster has been signed by 11 cast members including Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, David Prowse, Kenny Baker, Billy Dee Williams, and Anthony Williams among others. As of November 20th, this poster had received seven bids with the current bid being $1,600 ($1,952 with the buyer's premium). That seems to be a reasonable price to me, but you may want to be patient and look elsewhere since a similar item sold on eBay back in August for only 99 cents!
If you're interested in this item, you may also want to check out this Revenge of the Jedi poster which was signed by cast and crew including George Lucas and Harrison Ford. What makes this poster special, of course, is the fact that it was produced before the name of the film was changed by Lucas to Return of the Jedi.
Want an Incredible Hulk #181? There are four to choose from.
I remember when getting your hands on an Incredible Hulk #181 felt like you were holding a real grail. About five years ago, in December 2019, there were a total of 9,998 universal blue labels of Hulk #181 on the CGC Census. Today, there are now nearly 15,000 universal blue labels on the CGC Census. That's roughly a 50% increase in supply of blue label Hulk #181s in just five years. And that doesn't even count the thousands of yellow, purple and green copies on the CGC Census.
That huge increase in supply of CGC graded copies seems to be reflected in this auction; there are four copies of Hulk #181 available. The highest graded copy is this 8.0 which has currently received 13 bids with the current bid being $3,800 ($4,636 with the buyer's premium). Too rich for your blood? If so, you can also check out this 6.5 green label copy that is missing its Marvel Value Stamp on pg. 10. It's not getting a lot of love at the moment with only one bid for $1,000.
The 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence is around the corner.
In 2026, the United States will be celebrating is its Semiquincentennial or the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Planning is underway to commemorate this anniversary leading up to July 4th, 2026. As Ken Goldin himself noted on King of Collectibles, this huge event will rejuvenate interest in memorabilia related to our country's history. In anticipation of this event, Goldin has listed the "Red Velvet Book" which contains the autographs of 16 U.S. presidents, nine first ladies and other notable Americans.
This item hasn't yet received a single bid; it may be that it's reserve price, or the lowest price the seller is willing to accept -- in this case, $25,000 -- is too high. It's also difficult to price this item since it is one-of-a-kind.
