I got the chance to check out an early edition of Term Life, the upcoming original graphic novel from AJ Lieberman (Cowboy/Ninja/Viking) and Nick Thornborrow (The Anthology Project). Though I don't usually give five-star ratings, this book deserved it. Lieberman's narrative and dialogue are wonderful and Thornborrow's art is great. The tones are muted, which definitely works well with the subject matter.
The story is thoroughly entertaining, peppered with great action sequences, and it'll keep you on the edge of your seat until you finish. Lieberman and Thornborrow did a really great job hooking me in and keeping me invested in the story and its characters–especially the relationship between Nick and his daughter Cate.
