Welcome back to this week's look at Heritage's Sunday night movie poster auction! Every week Heritage auctions off some truly unique finds across all movie genres, such as movie serials, animation, science fiction, romance, and more. Each week I find a few gems that could be overlooked! Here are my pics for this week's unique finds!

Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze (1975)

In 1933 Doc Savage made his debut in Doc Savage Magazine #1, from Street & Smith. A classic pulp-era hero, Doc Savage has survived the test of time, but mainly in print. Since his creation talks and rumors of various television and movie adaptations have surfaced, but to date the only adaptation to come to light has been Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze. Based on the first appearance of Doc Savage, this movie intended to make Doc a more well-known hero. Unfortunately due to increased budget cuts, studio heads changing, and then some, the movie was a failure. Audiences and critics couldn't connect to the film, and the camp elements pushed many people away. Doc Savage would be devoured by Jaws that same summer.

This unrestored poster is noted as being in Fine/Very Fine condition. As a pulp collector myself, I find it exciting to see this poster in an auction. If you enjoy camp films or are a fan of pulp heroes, keep this on your watch list!

Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982)

The 1980s were filled with iconic films. Fast Times at Ridgemont High, the coming-of-age comedy in 1982, helped define a generation and a film era. The cast for Fast Times is nothing short of great - Judge Reinhold, Phoebe Cates, and Sean Penn steal the show. Fast Times is also the first film Nicolas Cage appeared in. Despite what the film means now to so many, Universal had thoughts of shelving the project. Thankfully they didn't, and Fast Times would go on to achieve $27.1 million against a budget of only $4.5 million. While it was initially written off as another teen comedy, Fast Times has proven it could stand the test of time and become a classic.

This cartoon poster features most of the cast in bright, bold colors. I prefer this poster to the one we all know and love. Heritage notes that this poster is unrestored and in Very Fine condition.

Terminator 2: Judgement Day Lobby Cards (1991)

1991 was a great year for cinema. We saw the likes of Batman Returns, Beauty and the Beast, Hook, and Terminator 2: Judgement Day. This movie terrified me as a child but was absolutely influential in me remembering this specific year in film. The posters and marketing featured red eye Terminators which was much scarier than anything I had seen before. The opening sequence is haunting and will stay with viewers for years. While I do appreciate the Terminator franchise now, I still hesitate to watch the second film! T2 would become a juggernaut of a film that year and went on to win four Academy Awards. T2 is considered by many to be the gold standard when making a sequel. The movie is still celebrated and talked about to this day, cementing its legacy in pop culture history.

This set of six unrestored lobby cards is noted as being in Very Fine + condition. These cards feature the principal cast, and a Terminator. This is a cool piece from one of the biggest films in the 1990s.
