It's a momentous time for concert poster collectors, GoCollect, and the collectibles industry. The first-ever concert poster price guide launched on Thursday, October 8. This initial preview launch features the iconic Family Dog series of posters.
Uncovering a Niche Collectible
For a long time, concert posters flew under the radar as a collectible. Many are in poor condition, lots of fakes float around, and grading this collectible can be nearly impossible if the provenance of the poster is unknown. In early 2020, Jeff Meyer, the Founder of GoCollect, purchased the Ultrasounds collection. With over 150,000 posters in the collection, he partnered with CGC to grade many of them and build the first-ever concert poster price guide. GoCollect will continue to penetrate the collectibles market in order to make it more transparent and make collecting better, for everyone. The next collectible price guide for GoCollect will be Wata-graded video games.
Concert Poster Price Guide Preview
The concert poster price guide preview kicked off with the Family Dog series of posters. Users of the site will be able to see CGC census data, market activity, variants, and information on the posters, artists, and venues. Currently, only data from Psychedelic Art Exchange is showing, but in the coming weeks, other partners' data will be rolled into the website. For a short period of time, the concert poster price guide will be free for everyone and not require a GoCollect account.
