From the earliest 8-bit games to the game-changing 64-bit days, collectors and players have seen video games evolve in a handful of years. Now that most of us are adults, we can now afford to collect the games we loved (or missed out on!) as kids. This week, Heritage is offering us a chance to bid on and win some pretty cool games across the 8-bit to 64-bit era. Grab your joysticks, this is going to be a great auction!

Action 53 CGC Universal 9.6 A+

Never in my tears of writing about collectibles did I think I'd see a graded copy of one of the most notorious Nintendo Entertainment System games of all time, Action 52. This game has it all, such as questionable content, glitches galore, and the best part about this game? It's unlicensed.

For the low low low price of only $199.00 on its release, you could have owned one of the most notorious video games. The game was the subject of one of my favorite Angry Video Game Nerd videos, and it's still worth a watch.

This sealed CGC blue label 9.6 A+ is incredible. This is the highest-graded example of this game across all third-party graders, but there is little sales data for any CGC-graded copy. By comparison, a WATA-graded 9.6 has a one-year average of $2,760, and there is potential that prices will increase with this game.

I absolutely believe this game is the game to keep an eye on. If you're a collector, don't let this game slip by!

Super Mario Bros WATA 7.0

Nintendo's Super Mario Bros needs little in the way of introduction. This groundbreaking game put Nintendo on the map and made Mario a household name. Mario introduced me to video games, and it's safe to say that the Mario franchise is a personal favorite. Super Mario Bros is the best-selling NES game ever, and it's shining brighter than ever thanks to the recent hit movie.

This complete in-box first production example has a WATA grade of 7.0, and presents extremely well. While Super Mario Bro examples always command serious money, there's something special about finding a first production copy! WATA states there is a tear in the back of the box, but that shouldn't bother most collectors.

The one-year average for similar examples is $754, making this a potentially affordable piece. By comparison, a WATA-graded 9.8 has a one-year average of $57,600.

Donkey Kong Kockey VGA 80+

Here's something we really don't see every day! This Game & Watch Donkey Kong Hockey example is downright righteous. This game allowed two players to play against each other via two attached d-pads. This box art is unique as it almost looks like a cassette, and the blue background absolutely pops.

This sealed VGA 80+ example would be perfect for every type of collector. Complete, ungraded examples tend to sell for around $200. Graded examples are harder to come by, but at the time of this writing, this example is already over $300. This is one of the more unique offerings in this auction, so it could sell for over $400. If you're a collector or enjoy vintage finds, don't pass this up!
