Just a few days ago, Marvel released the first trailer Captain America: Brave New World. Within four hours, the trailer had been viewed 4.2M times. Brave New World is going to tie up a lot of loose ends including closing the loop on what happened to the Leader who first appeared way back in 2008's Incredible Hulk and the Celestial Tiamut who appeared in 2021's The Eternals.

G.W. Bridge may boost the value of X-Force #1.

One of the biggest reveals from the trailer is that it appears Giancarlo Esposito will be playing G.W. Bridge who first appeared in X-Force #1. X-Force #1 is, of course, has for a long time exemplifies everything that went wrong with comic collecting in the 1990s including the excesses of being over-printed and the first comic to be polybagged and sold with a trading card. In spite of being self-described "1st ISSUE COLLECTOR'S ITEM," this issue has filled dollars bins for decades. Esposito's portrayal of G.W. Bridge could change the future of this book. There's a bit of evidence that has begun to happen as the 30-day average for a CGC 9.8 copy is about 6% higher than its 90-day average. The most recent 9.8 sold for $90, a 52-week high.

Tales to Astonish #63 has lost over 96% of its value since early 2022.

Although the Leader isn't clearly seen in the trailer (we may see the back of his head and hear his voice at one point), we know for sure he's in the film since Kevin Feige said so at the D23 Expo back in 2022. The Leader, who first appeared in Tales to Astonish #63 in 1964, is widely viewed as a top three Hulk villain. If you take a look at the most common grade on the CGC Census (a 6.5), the value of Tales to Astonish #63 has absolutely plummeted in value since early 2022.

The most recently publicly recorded sale for a 6.5 actually sold for the same as it did ($75) prior to the pandemic-fueled "comic boom" of 2021-21. While it certainly needed a correction after it sold for an an all-time high of $800 in February of 2022, it has lost 96% of its value since then. That looks like an over-correction to me for what is a great Silver Age book.

Hulk #1 (2008) is experiencing a major spike in value over the past 30 days.

One comic I might avoid buying right now is Hulk #1 (2008) which includes the first cover appearance of the Red Hulk. Surprisingly, the trailer definitely reveals that the Red Hulk will be in the film. News about the Red Hulk's inclusion in the film has caused a major spike in the value of this Modern Age key issue. The 30-day average is nearly $125 over the one-year average of $274. Over a dozen 9.8s have sold on July 12th alone (the day the trailer was released).

On the other hand, if you've been stockpiling a few 9.8s, this could be a good time to unload them.
