American Mythology Productions is excited to celebrate the 10th anniversary of American Mythology Comics this spring, including the publisher's return to a full publishing schedule.
The press release follows:
Media Release -- American Mythology Productions proudly announces the 10th anniversary of American Mythology Comics, marking a decade of delivering some of the most acclaimed licensed horror comics in the industry. The milestone celebration will take place this spring and coincides with the publisher’s long-awaited return to a full publishing schedule.
Publishing activity was temporarily placed on hiatus following the 2025 bankruptcy of Diamond Comic Distributors, which significantly impacted comic book distribution across the industry. After navigating this challenging period, American Mythology is now moving forward with renewed momentum and a strengthened strategy for the future.
As part of its relaunch, American Mythology has partnered with Prana Publishers to promote its upcoming full line of comic books directly to comic book retailers. Details regarding distribution—including which distributors will be carrying American Mythology titles—will be announced shortly.
“Reaching our 10th anniversary is both humbling and energizing,” said James Kuhoric, President of American Mythology. “The past year presented unprecedented challenges for publishers across the industry, but it also gave us the opportunity to refocus and rebuild. We’re excited to return stronger than ever, with an expanded slate of titles and a renewed commitment to our retail partners and fans.”
Over the past decade, American Mythology Comics has built a reputation as a premier producer of licensed horror comics, bringing iconic properties to the page. Notable titles include Fright Night, Return of the Living Dead, Hatchet, Silent Night, Deadly Night, Valentine Bluffs Massacre, and many more fan-favorite series. They live by the saying – If it bleeds ink, American Mythology prints it.
“Our identity has always been rooted in horror,” Kuhoric added. “We’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most legendary and beloved properties in the genre, and we treat those worlds with deep respect while pushing creative boundaries. The horror comics we’re publishing are bold, authentic, and made by creators who truly understand what fans want from these iconic franchises.”
“We’re thrilled to be working with American Mythology at such a pivotal moment in their history,” said Atom Freeman of Prana: Direct Market Solutions. “Their catalog of licensed horror properties is second to none, and we’re looking forward to helping reintroduce their full line to comic book retailers and building excitement around what’s coming next.”
In addition to celebrating its 10th anniversary, American Mythology will soon be announcing new projects and properties, expanding its catalog, and continuing its commitment to high-quality storytelling and bold creative voices.
More announcements and updates will be shared in the coming weeks.
