Here are some rumors for DC Comics fans that make us excited that our lives are getting close to normal again.

DC COMICS RUMOR MILL

Hello everyone! I truly believe that the fall season is the best time of the year. There is so much going on with everyone that really puts our lives back in motion. The start of school, sports seasons, and the weather change to name a few. In the comic world, changes are coming in a positive direction. It appears that the media studios are trying to get on track with delivering film and television content.  With that, speculation rumors are spiraling this week.

VIXEN PROJECT

DC COMICS

According to Comicbookmovie.com, DC Comics is looking to proceed forward with a Vixen project. This character is looking to be included in the DC Extended Universe. There is no indication that the project will be developed into a movie or be placed as a television series on HBO Max.

The character of Vixen has received minimal media attention throughout its history. Recently, the character appeared on Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow live-action series. She also starred in her own animated CW Seed series as well. Vixen's first appearance is in Action Comics #521. It is noted that she is the first black female member of the Justice League of America.

BLACK ADAM - SABBAC

There are rumors pertaining to the casting for the upcoming Black Adam movie. According to comicbookmovie.com, there is a casting call for a male individual to play the role of a person named Ismael. This individual would be playing a villain character and the speculation is that it would be in relation to Ishmael Gregor. Gregor, also known as "Sabbac", is a powerful demon in the comics that has abilities that are on par with Shazam. The news is confirming that the Black Adam movie is looking to find the villain to oppose Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Black Adam.

Sabbac is an old character for DC Comics. He made his first appearance in Captain Marvel Jr #4 in 1943. Sales are scarce for this book for graded copies as about 20 copies have sold since 2006. The last copy of a graded 1.8 CGC book sold for $114.50 in June 2020. Otherwise, another key book for this character is Justice League #21. This book does a reintroduction of the character and it includes the first-team appearance of the Shazam Family in costume.

STATIC STOCK

I am sure many comic fans have heard the news of a Static Stock movie in the works from the virtual DC FanDome event in August. According to comicbookmovie.com, Michael B. Jordan is partnering with Reginald Hudlin to produce a live-action movie for Static Stock. It appears Jordan may be done playing the character Killmonger with Marvel, as he is moving on to DC Comics. Could we see him produce and star in his own movie? The possibility is there. I guess it is time to be on the lookout for those Static Shock books. The books have been rising since the FanDome event and should continue as we get more news on the movie development.
