In 2012, Panini released what can be considered one of the most elite NFL card brands to date: Prizm Gold. This Tom Brady issue, limited to just 10 copies, ranks as one of the top finds from this inaugural release.

At the time of its production, Brady had just moved into fifth place among quarterbacks with the most career touchdowns. Fast forward 10 years and Brady now firmly holds the top spot with 649 touchdowns.

This Pop 1 PSA Gem Mint 10 offering is the finest example of Brady’s Gold Prizm on the market.

2015 UD Black Pro Spectrum Wayne Gretzky Connor McDavid ROOKIE AUTO /3 BGS 9.5

No two names spark more excitement within the Oilers franchise than NHL legend Wayne Gretzky and legend-in-the-making Connor McDavid. In 2015, Upper Deck decided to pair the two greats in a special /3 autographed Black Pro rookie issue.

This rare offering features the autographs of both Gretzky and McDavid and sports a Pop 1 BGS Gem Mint 9.5 designation with none graded higher.

2016 Select '17 XRC Tie-Dye Prizm Patrick Mahomes II ROOKIE /25 #2 PSA 10 GEM

With Mitchell Trubisky, Deshaun Watson, and Patrick Mahomes ranked as the top three quarterbacks ahead of the 2017 draft, anyone who pulled a QB2 exchange card from Panini's first redemption release could expect to receive one of these three rookie issues. Luckily for them, it was Mahomes’.

Considering only one redemption card was found in each box, these issues were quite hard to find. However, this rainbow holofoil Tie-Die Prizm took that rarity to a new level with a limited print run of just 25 copies.

PSA graded this early redemption issue a Gem Mint 10. Only two other examples have earned this top designation from PSA.

2020 Absolute Kaboom! Gold Jalen Hurts ROOKIE 10/10 #40 BGS 9.5 GEM MINT

Each of the ten rookies on Absolute’s 2020 checklist has two versions of their iconic Kaboom! productions. For Jalen Hurts, one issue shows the Eagles QB mid-pass while the other, this example, shows him mid-rush.

Both issues give credence to Hurts’ dual-threat capabilities, as only he and Josh Allen have thrown for 3,000+ and rushed for 700+ yards in each of the past two seasons.

This example earned Beckett’s Gem Mint 9.5 designation with none graded higher.

1997 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems PMG Red Charles Barkley /100 #1 PSA 6

[caption id="attachment_263462" align="aligncenter" width="175"] OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA[/caption]

Few trading cards boast a more iconic design than Precious Metal Gems, especially cards like this one from Metal Universe’s inaugural PMG production.

As the number one card in this 1997 set, Charles Barkley’s Red PMG features the power forward in his first year with the Rockets.

Because of the full-bleed, easily chipped foil, these cards became some of the most condition-sensitive of the era. Only three examples of Barkley’s Red PMG have earned a higher designation than this PSA 6 offering.

2020 Topps Chrome Formula 1 Sapphire Edition Red Lewis Hamilton 5/5 #1 PSA 6

If you were lucky enough to source a box of Topps’ inaugural 2020 F1 release, Lewis Hamilton was the name you hoped to find. And with a limited print run of just five copies, pulling this card was like hitting the jackpot.

Falling at a rate of only 1:121 packs, Hamilton’s Sapphire Red parallel is the top selling F1 driver’s second rarest issue ever produced. Only three examples of this card have earned a higher grade than this Pop 1 PSA 6 offering.

The auction runs through September 21 when Extended Bidding begins at 7 p.m. PT.
