How about that Avengers: End Game trailer?  I bet you have all the answers you need to determine what is going to happen next in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).  While everyone was focused on Ronin, I was shocked at the blatant arrival of Scott Lang in the trailer.  I too saw Ant-Man and Wasp, so now I am trying to make some mental leaps to fill in the knowledge gaps.  What the heck is going on here?  As Captain America questions during the trailer, we don't even know if this is all happening right now.  All thanks to a bit of entanglement in Quantum Realm speculation!

*Spoilers may be ahead, but nothing like Bruce Willis being dead the whole movie...so keep reading.  The Quantum Realm was, of course, the main takeaway from Ant-Man and Wasp.  We saw Scott and the team venture into the realm with hopes of finding the lost Janet Van Dyne.  If you had a sharp eye during Scott's time in the Quantum Realm, you may have made out what appears to be a tiny city lurking on the horizon.  Who are the inhabitants of this city?  What significance could a city in the Quantum Realm hold?  To me, these are the questions that are going to help unravel the mess left by Thanos.

The Quantum Realm is a re-branding of Marvel's Microverse from the comics.  Access to the Microverse is attainable via Pym particles, and is seen as a parallel universe rather than a sub-universe to our own.  One of the more popular characters that began in the Microverse and has translated across the rest of the Marvel Universe is the mantle of Captain Universe.  Captain Universe made a first appearance in Micronauts #8 in 1979.  The Captain Universe power is bestowed by the Uni-power, which is an extra-dimensional force which is itself powered by the Enigma Force, and all this is believed to be tied to the Microverse (or Quantum Realm in the MCU).  That could make one heck of a confusing movie!  Over the years, the persona of Captain Universe has inhabited many hosts anyone from Dr. Strange and Spider-Man, but typically imbues a non-powered person.

Copies of Micronauts #8 are doing well on the market.  9.8 graded copies are selling in the $180-$250, and the trend appears to be positive (up 25%) and climbing fast in recent weeks.  Fair Market Value (FMV) is still holding around $210, so there is opportunity to snag a copy undervalued on the market.  This book does have both a Newsstand and Direct version, but it was 1979 and the first year of direct copies, so direct copies may actually be rarer in this time period.

It is a good estimate that Scott Lang has become a master of the Quantum Realm during the unaccounted for time between Thanos' snap and Scott showing up at Captain America's doorstep.  Time behaves weirdly in the Quantum Realm, and it could have been years that Scott was stuck developing his powers which could have help him escape the void.  I am wondering if this mastery will be portrayed as a type of Captain Universe...perhaps Ant-Man with enhanced, or quantumized, powers?  Maybe he is the guide that leads Black Widow and Cap through time...or realities...or whatever...to undo what was done at the end of Infinity War.  Either way, it appears that Scott is being teased as some portion of the solution to undo the snap.  I for one am excited to find out the entire story.
