Collecting trading cards has been a time-honored tradition for generations. From baseball cards to Pokemon cards, there’s a trading card for every kind of fan! Trading card games focus on the gaming aspect of certain trading cards — such as the previously mentioned Pokemon, as well as the widely popular Magic: The Gathering.

Magic: The Gathering Beta Edition Group of 23

In 1993 Magic: The Gathering released the Beta Edition. The Beta Edition refers to cards that were released right after the Alpha set, which acted as a pilot for the card game we know and love. The beta set included 302 cards with black borders and introduced the Circle of Protection: Black and Volcanic Island cards. Beta cards are fun to collect, as they show us the humbling beginnings of what would be one of the most popular TCGs in the world.

This set of 23 ungraded cards contains cad such as the Circle of Protection: Red. I love lots like these as they have endless potential with grades, but more importantly -- they can still be used if you play. Group lots are an exceptional way to grow your collection, and Heritage shares multiple lots almost weekly. Heritage notes that this lot in particular is in VG+ to VG/EX condition.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Unlimited Legend of the Blue Eyes White Dragon Sealed Booster Set of Two

No other card in the Yu-Gi-Oh world has more impact than the aforementioned Blue Eyes White Dragon. But before you get too excited, this lot is for the first expansion set. The Legend of the Blue Eyes White Dragon expansion included rare cards such as the titular card, Dark Magician, Monster Reborn, and Pot of Greed to name a few. The cards were also broken down into various ranks, including Secret Rare (2), Ultra Rare (10), Super Rare (9), Rare (15), and Common (67).

This lot of two sealed booster packs contains nine cards, giving you 18 chances to find a rare card. Of course, you could always keep them sealed, and maybe even get them graded. Graded-sealed TCG packs are not uncommon! These auction types always excite me because of the unknown possibilities. Heritage notes this set as being in excellent condition. Similar packs have sold for over $2K on Heritage, while sealed booster boxes tend to end at over $5K.

Pokemon Variety Set Group of Six

Here's a unique way of getting some unique and holographic Pokemon cards in your collection! Heritage is offering this group lot of six cards from the Fossil and Jungle expansion, as well as a Black Star Promo card. The cards included are Kangaskhan (Jungle Set), Haunter, Magneton, Hypno, Muk (Fossil Set), and Electabuzz (Black Star Promo card). Since they aren't graded, you could very well use them in gameplay -- but if you like taking a chance, you could also get them graded.

Heritage notes this set as ranging from EX/NM+ to NM. While pricing these are a little more difficult as each card isn't broken down further, I would expect this lot to end at around $100. This is a great opportunity for the right collector to get some great cards.
