Buyers were leaning on Ghost Rider and Vigilante this week after two key issues cracked the top-100 Hottest Comics. Here's your Trending Comics analysis!

There were several new additions to this week’s index, most of which were fueled by live-action speculation. Remember that the Hottest Comics are based on sales volume, not fair market values. While it is easy to focus on the top-10 issues, a deeper dive reveals what could be the future hot keys on the market.

With that in mind, here are five Trending Comics worth a second look.

47. GHOST RIDER #28 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Oh so quietly, Ghost Rider #28 has climbed back into the top-50 Hottest Comics. Why is that? Thank Multiverse of Madness. This issue marked the first time comic fans saw the supernatural team The Nine, better known as the Midnight Sons.

Of the original lineup, the most famous members included Ghost Rider Danny Ketch, former Spirit of Vengeance Johnny Blaze, Morbius, and Blade. There have long been rumors that a motorcycle-loving Ghost Rider is coming to the MCU, and now there is speculation that all three live-action Riders will be part of MOM.

With Morbius and Blade having movies of their own on the slate, it stands to reason that the Midnight Sons could be coming together.

51. NEW TEEN TITANS ANNUAL #2 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Vigilante has taken the comic world by storm. The relatively obscure character was dusted off for DC’s hit streaming series, Peacemaker, and he has quickly become a fan favorite.

Although the original Vigilante was a Golden Age cowboy, the live-action version is based on the second iteration. Adrian Chase would first don the Vigilante costume for a full comic in New Teen Titans Annual #2, and it has been outselling his earlier cameo appearances as of late.

With the character’s growing fan base comes an increase in sales, and I can see this issue climbing into the top 20 in the coming weeks.

61. STRANGE ACADEMY #1 (+30)

Again, the MOM gossip is at the forefront of this week’s edition of the Hottest Comics. Although not much has been said about the Strange Academy in relation to MOM, we could very well see the seeds for Marvel’s Hogwarts in the upcoming movie.

With all the Multiversal and magical threats plaguing the MCU, it would be logical for the Sorcerer Supreme to train new masters of the mystical arts to combat those looming dangers.

Another bonus with this particular issue is the number of first appearances. As the MCU continues to expand, any of those characters could be used in a future project, which adds another layer of investment speculation.

68. HULK #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Which Hulks could we see in the upcoming She-Hulk streaming series? That is the question that is driving speculation for many gamma-powered issues, including 2008’s Hulk #1.

This issue is special thanks to the first appearance of Thunderbolt Ross as the Red Hulk.

We already know that She-Hulk will meet both Bruce Banner and the Abomination in the Disney+ series, and that leads to theories that Red Hulk could appear in the show as well. It makes for a hot market for Hulk #1.

78. MS. MARVEL #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Another new addition to the rankings this week is Ms. Marvel #1. Although it’s not Carol Danvers’ first appearance, this is the premiere of her as Ms. Marvel.

In the comics, Carol would get a promotion to Captain Marvel, which opened the door for Kamala Khan to become the new Ms. Marvel.

As Kamala is set to star in her own Disney+ series, it has collectors targeting the Bronze Age’s first Ms. Marvel solo series.
