71. HERO FOR HIRE #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)
Do my eyes deceive or has Luke Cage reemerged in the Hottest Comics? Ever since Netflix and Marvel parted ways, collectors have been waiting for some news on the Heroes for Hire front. There are ample rumors that Marvel Studios is planning to bring Luke and Danny together on Disney Plus, but Kevin Feige has offered little to nothing on the subject.
Still, fans are keeping their hopes alive and fingers crossed. All that commotion has Luke’s first appearance in Hero for Hire #1 on a yo-yo string with sporadic appearances among eBay’s 100 best sellers. We will see how long it stays in the Hottest Comics this time.
82. SPIDER-MAN #7 SECOND PRINT (NEW TO THE LIST)
Spider-Boy continues to light up the secondary market. It wasn’t long ago that the Top Secret variant of Spider-Man #7 was the best-selling comic in all of eBay. Despite losing that position, it’s a constant inside the top 10 week after week.
With that popularity, buyers have been tracking down all things Spider-Boy, and it’s pushed the Spider-Man #7 second print onto the Hottest Comics.
92. STAR WARS: JEDI OF THE REPUBLIC — MACE WINDU #5 (NEW TO THE LIST)
When it comes to Ahsoka keys, there’s no question that Clone Wars #1 rules the market with an iron fist. After The Mandalorian inflated prices for all those Star Wars keys, especially CW #1, it left Ahsoka collectors on the hunt for alternatives.
In Mace Windu #5, you get her canonical debut in the main Star Wars comics continuity. While it will never replace CW #1 as the premiere issue to own, MW #5 is a worthy companion in those Ahsoka collections.
95. W0RLDTR33 #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)
James Tynion’s latest hit continues to land on the eBay best sellers list. When your resume includes the likes of Something Is Killing the Children and The Nice House on the Lake, dominating the sales charts goes with the territory.
This time around, the horror maestro is dabbling in the world of the dark web with a tale of technology gone wrong. It’s a fitting topic for modern audiences and likely helped get eyes on W0rldTr33 #1.
99. CONAN THE BARBARIAN #24 (NEW TO THE LIST)
The popular Red Sonja key has returned to the top 100. Settling at next to last, Conan #24 had buyers’ attention this week as the excitement builds for Red’s return to live action. She was famously portrayed by Brigitte Nielsen in the mid-1980s, and next year, the She-Devil with a Sword will make her silver screen return with an all-new movie.
That has sent buyers on the hunt for her keys, starting here. While she debuted in Conan #23, her first cover appearance an issue later has been the collecting prize.
