The unthinkable has happened: Taylor Swift is the hottest name in comic book collecting… sort of.

You read that right. The Swifties are brimming with excitement for their idol’s chance at superhero fame, and that’s launched Uncanny X-Men #130 into the eBay stratosphere. (Feel free to insert your favorite “Shake It Off” joke here.)

Sure, there may be flashy numbers at the top of the Hottest Comics, but the real fun is digging deeper. That’s where you find the comics that may have slipped under the radar, and those are the ones with the chance to kick in the afterburners and rocket up the sales list.

3. UNCANNY X-MEN #130 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Uncanny X-Men fans, Taylor Swift has made your collections a little more valuable. Seven years after the pop star was first rumored to play Dazzler in X-Men: Apocalypse, the gossip has stirred once again. In true modern MCU fashion, Deadpool 3 is bursting at the seams with possible cameos.

It started with Channing Tatum finally getting his chance to play Gambit, and now Swift may trade her guitar for a pair of disco roller skates. Whether or not it’s true is a mystery, but it’s been enough to send Dazzler’s premiere in Uncanny X-Men #130 all the way to the third-hottest comic on eBay.

21. SILVER SURFER #1 (+25)

There’s a report making the rounds that Marvel Studios is looking to cast Galactus and introduce the Devourer of Worlds in Fantastic Four. Not only is that propelling holy grails like FF #48, but the interest is trickling over to his original herald, the Silver Surfer.

These two characters are bound together, and it’s hard to imagine having one without the other in the MCU. That is leading buyers on a hunt for those Surfer keys, and his first self-titled comic nearly cracked the top 20 as a result.

47. INFINITE CRISIS #5 JIM LEE EDITION (NEW TO THE LIST)

It’s time for your weekly Blue Beetle update. After struggling in the sales department for virtually all of August, Jaime’s first appearance in Infinite Crisis #5 finally rebounded. After falling out of the top 100 Hottest Comics, the Jim Lee edition broke through in style, dropping into a comfortable 47th just days before Blue Beetle hits theaters.

This could be a sign that the movie is gaining interest and could be a surprise (and much-needed) hit for DC Studios.

57. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #31 (NEW TO THE LIST)

There’s so many reasons to want this issue. For one, you have the first appearance of the original Earth-616 Gwen Stacy. Thanks to the Spider-Verse animated films and the upcoming Spider-Woman spinoff, her Spider-Gwen variant is one of the most popular characters in all of Marvel.

ASM #31 also marked the debut of Harry Osborn, who is getting more attention as the host of Venom in the highly anticipated Spider-Man 2 PS5 game. It’s no wonder this Silver Age key is on the move.

91. RAPHAEL: TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Taylor Swift may have established Dazzler as the hottest character in comics, but the Ninja Turtles fans made their voices heard. A number of TMNT keys were scattered throughout the Hottest Comics due in large part to the box office success of Mutant Mayhem.

Here we have the original TMNT spinoff comic starring Raphael, an issue that just so happened to include the first appearance of Casey Jones. It’s easy to assume he will appear in the next TMNT movie, which is the likely reason for Raphael #1’s surge.
