Media Release -- Starting in December, ACTION COMICS will include a new 8-page backup feature that ties directly into the 20-page lead story!
The backup feature is written by Grant Morrison's hand-picked choice, Sholly Fisch (writer of THE ALL NEW BATMAN: THE BRAVE & THE BOLD)!
It all begins in ACTION COMICS #4 (OCT110178), on FOC on November 14 and scheduled to arrive in stores on December 7!
The lead story in ACTION #4, written by Grant Morrison with art by Rags Morales and Rick Bryant features the debut of the "New 52" Steel! Last we saw of John Henry Irons in ACTION COMICS #2, he had quit his military job in protest over Lex Luthor torturing Superman under General Lane's command. Now, as the Terminauts lay siege to Metropolis, it's time for John Henry to put his money where his mouth is and go help Superman defend the city.
The backup in issue #4 ties into the main story by depicting a critical fight between Steel and the brand new Metall-0, with art by Brad Walker (Heroes for Hire).
The backup story in ACTION COMICS #5 (NOV110125) spotlights Ma and Pa Kent, and is written by Fisch with art by ChrisCross (SUPERMAN/BATMAN).
