Media Release -- Following the quick sellouts and reprints of BATMAN: THE RED DEATH and BATMAN: THE MURDER MACHINE, the first two evil Batman specials, DC announces that the next three of these specials will go back to press for new, second printings before the issues arrive in stores!
"Demand for these one shots has not only exceeded our expectations, but also our retailer's initial orders (and reorders). We want to try and get ahead of the huge phenomenon that METAL has become," says Jim "Ski" Sokolowski, DC's VP, Comic Book Specialty and Trade Marketing.
BATMAN: THE DAWNBREAKER #1 Second Printing (AUG178712) will reprint the story by writer Sam Humphries and artist Ethan Van Sciver. It will feature a recolored version of the original cover by Jason Fabok.
BATMAN: THE DROWNED #1 Second Printing (AUG178713) will reprint the story by writer Dan Abnett and artists Philip Tan and Francis Manapul. It will feature a recolored version of the original cover by Jason Fabok.
BATMAN: THE MERCILESS #1 Second Printing (AUG178714) will reprint the story by writer Peter J. Tomasi and artist Francis Manapul. It will feature a recolored version of the original cover by Jason Fabok.
All three reprints are on Final Order Cutoff on OCTOBER 2 with an on-sale date of October 25.
Important note: These new printings will not feature the cover enhancements from the first printings.
