Worlds Of Sam Kieth HC Vol. 01Media Release -- In celebration of his retrospective, Samplings and Dabblings, the Cartoon Art Museum is publishing a full-color, 80-page exhibition catalog covering the artistic career of Sam Kieth, from his earliest work-for-hire projects including Sandman and Marvel Comics Presents, through creator-owned projects like The Maxx and Zero Girl, to his most recent artistic endeavors, including many never-before-published paintings and drawings from Kieth's sketchbooks. The catalog includes an exclusive interview conducted by Cartoon Art Museum Curator Andrew Farago, and Kieth claims that this will be his final career-spanning interview.

The design firm of Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners has donated its efforts to the creation of this catalog, and IDW Publishing has generously agreed to print Samplings and Dabblings for the Cartoon Art Museum.

On Saturday, April 27, 2013, from 11:00am to 2:00pm, Cartoon Art Museum patrons can meet Sam Kieth and purchase the exhibition catalog from the museum bookstore. Kieth will sign any catalogs or books purchased at the museum, and up to five additional items for each visitor. This booksigning will be included with purchase of admission to the Cartoon Art Museum, which includes access to Kieth's Samplings and Dabblings exhibition. Those unable to attend the event can purchase the catalog through this link: A limited signed bookplate edition will be available for purchase, as will a special "Doodle Edition" that will be limited to 25 copies.
