On January 15th, Marvel released its trailer for Daredevil: Born Again, a nine episode Disney+ TV series which will debut on March 4, 2025. With over 13M views on Marvel Entertainment's YouTube channel since the trailer's release, this show is one of the most highly anticipated TV series of 2025.

Although the KIngpin will clearly be the "big bad" throughout the entire season, we also see several members of Daredevil's rogue's gallery appear in the trailer including Bullseye and the serial killer, Muse, who uses the blood and bodyparts of his victims as paint for his street graffiti artwork. While Muse hasn't been around all that long, with true crime content at all-time high in terms of popularity, this serial killer has received a lot of attention.

Over the past two years, Daredevil #11 (vol. 5) is beating the rest of the Modern market.

Daredevil #11 (2016) has an interesting sales price history, particularly for a CCG 9.8 (the highest and most common book on the CGC Census). Because this book was published in 2016, the first publicly recorded sale of a CGC 9.8 didn't occur until February 2023, after the comic book market bubble had already popped in 2022. Interestingly, even though we've been in a bear market for over two years now, the value of a 9.8 copy of this issue has generally been trending upwards during that same period of time.

During the past year, you can see the value of this book trending upwards with the 30-day average of $237 exceeding its 90-day average ($219) and one-year average ($194). It's current FMV is an impressive $270. There is one significant dip in its sales history when a 9.8 sold on eBay for a fixed price of $60 on December 18th of last year, but that one sale appears to be an outlier.

Compare that against the performance of the Modern Age CPI during the past year, which you could see as a benchmark for Daredevil #11, which has lost nearly 11% of its value.

We're also seeing a substantial increase in sales volume for Daredevil #11 since the release of the trailer on January 15th with 25 copies of the issue selling on eBay.

Daredevil #14 features the first cover appearance of Muse.

Although less valuable, I actually prefer Daredevil #14, which prominently features Muse on its cover using his victim's blood on his palette as he paints the "Daredevil" title. The cover is entirely in black and white except for the color of the blood. Gruesome, yet amazing cover by Dan Panosian.

The market has less interest in this issue since it's not Muse's first appearance, but nine copies have sold on eBay since the trailer's release. Raw copies are currently selling in the $35 to $50 range. The last publicly recorded sale of a CGC 9.8 occurred on January 5th for $125.

If we've learned anything over the past three years, we know that for investing purposes, we shouldn't buy key issues at the release of a trailer, but instead actually sell.
