Product Changes
- DC has announced two new covers and the final contents for DETECTIVE COMICS #27. In addition to the previously announced Cover A by Greg Capullo and Variant Covers by Chris Burnham, Jim Lee, and Jason Fabok, retailers may now order Cover B by Frank Miller in any quantity, and qualify to order a new 1:25 Variant Cover by Tony S. Daniel. The 96-page issue will now feature new stories from Gregg Hurwitz & Neal Adams, Peter J. Tomasi & Ian Bertram, writer/artist Francesco Francavilla, Mike W. Barr & Guillem March, and Scott Snyder & Sean Murphy, as well as the launch of the main "Gothtopia" storyline by John Layman & Jason Fabok. This issue also includes pin-ups by artists Michael Allred, Patrick Gleason and Mick Gray, Jock and Graham Nolan.
- DC Entertainment announces that the lineup of covers for DETECTIVE COMICS #27 has changed. The cover by Frank Miller has been cancelled. Because this cover was offered as an open-to-buy item, DC advises retailers to shift their orders to the cover by Greg Capullo.
- In a new update on DETECTIVE COMICS #27, the Frank Miller cover for this special issue has been reinstated as Cover B. This remains an open-to-buy cover under item code OCT138238; all previous orders have been restored. It is scheduled to arrive in stores on January 8. If you wish to adjust your order on the Greg Capullo Cover A (NOV130175), please contact your Diamond Customer Service Representative. DC apologizes for any inconvenience.
- DC Entertainment announces that BATMAN #28 now will have a new story that flashes forward to the upcoming weekly series BATMAN ETERNAL! This special issue, written by Scott Snyder and James Tynion with art and cover by Dustin Nguyen, will provide a peek at what’s to come in the weekly series, with glimpses at some key characters in the series. The story originally slated to run in this issue now will run in BATMAN #29, which will be solicited in the January Previews for a March 12 on-sale date. BATMAN #28 is solicited in the December Previews and is scheduled to arrive in stores on February 12. Because of these changes, BATMAN #28 will be made returnable at a later date.
- With THE UNWRITTEN VOL. 2: APOCALYPSE #1 on FOC on December 16, DC Entertainment announces that qualifying retailers will be able to make returns on this issue at a later date. Retailers whose new FOC orders on THE UNWRITTEN VOL. 2: APOCALYPSE #1 equal or exceed 50% of their FOC orders for TRILLIUM #1 will qualify for 100% returnability at a later date! THE UNWRITTEN VOL. 2: APOCALYPSE #1 is written by Mike Carey with art by Peter Gross and a cover by Yuko Shimizu. This issue also features a 1:13 variant cover by Peter Gross. THE UNWRITTEN VOL. 2: APOCALYPSE #1 is scheduled to arrive in stores on January 22 and is on FOC on December 16.
