The @021-22 Panini LeBron James Triple Logoman card is legendary. High-net-worth individuals have spent vast sums of their wealth seeking this grail. Just over a year ago, this card sold at auction for $2.4M, becoming the highest-priced card ever to be pulled and sold in the same year, according to Goldin Auctions.
Many don't realize there are many other valuable Logoman cards in existence. Let's talk about this sports card phenomenon that has re-electrified the sports card industry.
Typically, older sports cards are more valuable due to their age; however, Panini's Triple Logoman cards are exceptionally rare. Featuring authentic patches from James's jerseys from the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Lakers, the LeBron James Triple Logoman card was only the fifth Logoman card that Panini had ever produced. The LeBron James card is by far the most hyped of the five.
The rapper, Drake, famously spent $200,000 purchasing 14 boxes (each housed within a metal briefcase) of the 2020-21 Panini Flawless set. He didn't find it. Instead, a person with the handle "JMo" found the card when breaking a Flawless box live on Whatnot. Three months later, the card was sold at an auction hosted by Goldin for $2.4M. Although this amount fell short of expectations, considering this isn't a rookie card, it was a huge sale nonetheless.
You could make the case that the LeBron James Triple Logoman card sucked all of the oxygen out of the room. There are several other unique Logoman cards in the 2021-22 Panini NBA Flawless including one card that features patches from NBA greats Stephan Curry, Kevin Durant, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Although difficult to price this card since it hasn't sold at a public auction (as far as I'm aware), my educated guess is that this card is the second valuable card in the set since it contains authentic patches from three future Hall of Famers. Layton Sports Card found this card about a year ago.
Another highly valuable Triple Logoman card features the core of the Golden State Warriors dynasty: Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Steph Curry. Other Logoman Cards feature Jayson Tatum, Luka Doncic, and Zion Williamson and another has patches from Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball, and Tyrese Halliburton.
After conducting some research online, it doesn't appear as though the four remaining Triple Logoman cards from the 2021-22 Panini set have sold at a public auction. While the LeBron James Triple Logoman sale of $2.4M offers at least one point of reference, another comparable might be the sale of a BGS 9.5 2021 Panini Triforce Blockchain Triple Logoman card of Zion Williamson, Ja Morant, and Devin Booker, which sold for $30,000 on eBay.
Panini, realizing it had struck gold, is trying to replicate its success by issuing another Triple Logoman set of cards featuring NBA jersey patches from James, Stephen Curry, and Luka Doncic in its 2022-23 Flawless set.
