[SPOILER] has arrived, and that is driving the comic market after Hawkeye Episode Four.

The MCU’s new Black Widow has officially arrived in the greater cinematic universe. During Episode Four’s climactic rooftop fight scene, Yelena Belova threw down with Echo and both Hawkeyes. After the dust had cleared, Clint Barton referred to her as the Black Widow, which basically confirms her status in the grand scheme of things.

Come with us as we break down the three issues that should get a pop from the new episode.

INHUMANS #5

The word was already spreading that the new Black Widow, Yelena Belova, would be featured in Hawkeye. When she appeared on the rooftop to fight Clint in this week’s episode, most comic fans knew it was coming. Still, seeing Yelena in her first appearance outside the Black Widow movie is enough to send buyers scrambling for her debut issue.

Although Yelena’s face is not shown in Inhumans #5, CGC labels this comic as her premiere, and that is what most collectors lean towards when it comes to debated firsts. With Yelena making her entrance into the world of Hawkeye, it has pushed sales for Inhumans #5. Just today, a raw copy sold for $118.74. On Monday, a graded 9.8 earned $510 based on the speculation that she would arrive in the Disney+ show.

HAWKEYE #2

Ever since Marvel Studios announced the Hawkeye streaming series, collectors have been on the hunt for Hawkeye #2. With the Tracksuit Mafia’s growing popularity, this issue was overshadowed by their debut in Hawkeye #1. The more fans appreciate the growing bond between Clint and Kate, the more buyers want Hawkeye #2. Although the two characters had previously met, this comic marked the first time the Hawkeyes worked as a team. Since Kate had matching costumes made for each of them, it will propel this issue a bit further in terms of sales.

These days, you can buy raw copies off eBay for about $20-$30. There hasn’t been a graded 9.8 to swap hands online since one brought $59 in November, but that should soon change.

DAREDEVIL #51

If you didn’t buy Echo’s first appearance this time last year, the boat has sailed for DD #9. As we see more of Maya Lopez and delve further into her past ahead of her solo streaming show, her origin story will become more popular.

Besides this being an early appearance that begins to take a closer look at Echo, the latest Daredevil news is giving DD #51 a lift in popularity as this issue showcases the connection between Maya and Daredevil. The implications for the MCU fall in line with the recent news that Charlie Cox will reprise his role as Matt Murdock as per Kevin Feige.

This is suddenly a very hot comic thanks to the Charlie Cox announcement. Earlier today, a raw copy sold for $55 after bringing $25 yesterday.

THE PIECES ARE SET

The word on the internet is that Episode Five will have some big moments. Some that will set the comic fandom on fire. Odds are, we’ll be seeing more of Maya and Echo; perhaps this is a tease for Vincent D’Onofrio to appear as Kingpin. Given Feige’s statement about Cox being the MCU’s Daredevil, it wouldn’t be a stretch to suggest that audiences will get their first onscreen Daredevil since 2018. *Any perceived investment advice or opinion is that of the freelance blogger and does not reflect advice from GoCollect.
