Week one of the NFL season is now in the books and it was one for the ages. There were shocking upset victories. A legendary player suffered a season-ending injury. And rookies emerged, showing they belonged in the big leagues. As always. some players stood out more than others and that could have an effect on their key cards. Below is a list of some of the stars from the first week of play.

The Dolphins signal-caller was largely excellent last year, but his season was marred by concussion issues. Now completely healthy, Tua Tagovailoa came out against the Chargers and locked horns with Justin Herbert, who was drafted a pick after him in 2020. The lefty QB finished with 466 yards passing and 3 touchdowns.

If he is able to stay healthy and play like he did during the 2022 season, the cost of Tagovailoa cards could potentially soar. One interesting example is his Panini Prizm rookie card which is currently selling for under $100 in PSA 10 gem mint condition.

After the first 6 games of last season, it looked like Breece Hall could be the runaway winner of the Rookie of the Year Award. The running back, however, tore his ACL and the award ended up going to his teammate Garrett Wilson. Hall hit his rehab hard and was ready to go for week one of the season.

The running back reintroduced himself to the NFL audiences by running for 127 yards on only 10 carries. He has several key rookie cards including the Immaculate Collection Introductions autographed card, which is limited to only 49 copies. It sells for a few hundred dollars depending on the grade.

The 49ers crushed Pittsburgh this weekend. The domination was clear from the beginning and the Steelers were never really in the game. In a strange twist, though, the best player on the field was wearing Black and Yellow. TJ Watt, one of the game's best pass rushers, recorded 3 sacks, 5 QB hits, and recovered a fumble.

Watt, only 28 years old, is a 3-time First-Team All-Pro and has won a Defensive Player of the Year Award. He could be on his way to a legendary career and he players for one of the league's most popular teams nationally. Watt's 2017 Panini Impeccable autographed card can sell for anywhere from $200-$800 depending on the grade.

There are many arguments as to who the best cornerback in the league is. It is not surprising, during that conversation, to hear names like Ahmad Gardner, Jaire Alexander, and Jalen Ramsey. Another corner who has become a lockdown player for his squad is Patrick Surtain II.

Since coming into the league in 2021 and has been a stalwart for the Broncos. Last year, his second season, he made 1st Team All-Pro. Surtain II has a signed rookie card in Panini's Contenders Optic set and it regularly sells for under $100.
